Did you know that children, teenagers, parents, and other caregivers can contact the city's counseling centers for children, teenagers, and families with any personal or family-related questions? These can include questions about development, upbringing, (family) conflicts, or separation and divorce.
Counselors typically discuss very personal experiences and feelings that require a safe and confidential environment. The counseling centers are divided into five regions. If you have a concern, you can contact your local counseling center and schedule an appointment.
Here's what you need to know:
- The educational counselling centers are a service offered by the Office for Social Services (AfSD).
- All consultants are subject to legal confidentiality obligations.
- The consultation is free.
- Consultations are also available in other languages (with support from interpreters who are also bound by confidentiality).
- Young people can also seek counselling without their parents.
- It is also possible to receive anonymous advice upon request.
- You will receive advice from professionals in the fields of social work, education, psychology and psychotherapy.
- The responsibility of the advice centers is divided into these five regions.
