From July 1, 2024, the new project "Happy and Inclusive" will be funded by the LOS Agency. It aims to network inclusive businesses and institutions in Bremen that specifically focus on promoting inclusion in the workplace.
Interested project sponsors, institutions and inclusive businesses from the state of Bremen are cordially invited to join the newly founded specialist network “Happy Inclusive” and to actively participate in shaping it.
With the upcoming launch of the new project "Happy and Inclusive," Gröpelingen Marketing e.V. is taking another step towards an inclusive society where diversity is not only accepted but actively promoted. The goal is to establish a professional network and create a dynamic platform for exchanging ideas, resources, and opportunities for collaboration.
Inspiration behind "Happy Inclusive"
In 2019, Gröpelingen Marketing e.V. developed the "Social Manufactories" project, a model project with a lighthouse character. The aim was to facilitate access to social participation for disadvantaged people. Through engagement and inclusive employment in the social manufactories, the participants' job prospects also improve.
“We are aware of the challenges that people with disabilities face in the workplace, as we have been working with people with disabilities for years. Inclusion is an integral part of our work and it is important to us that as many companies as possible share this experience,” said project manager Sarah Louerat.
Gröpelingen Marketing e.V. is an organization dedicated to promoting and developing the Gröpelingen district of Bremen. Our activities include organizing events, supporting local businesses and initiatives, and assisting projects to improve the quality of life in Gröpelingen. Gröpelingen Marketing e.V. is funded by the Senator for Economic Affairs, Ports and Transformation.
A successful start and the way forward
On June 30, 2023, an event took place that provided a strong impetus for exchange between companies and inclusive businesses. The success of this initial event led to "Happy Inclusive" growing into an independent project.
Starting July 1, 2024, the new project "Happy and Inclusive" will be funded by the LOS Agency. Its aim is to network inclusive businesses and institutions in Bremen that specifically focus on promoting inclusion in the workplace. Regular meetings with various focus areas are planned, as well as a comprehensive event in spring 2025. At this event, companies will have the opportunity to receive advice on everything from hiring people with disabilities to financial support and legal issues.
