The "Family Education Network" in Bremen has been addressing current discussions surrounding family education since 2015. The next network meeting, entitled "How Much Health is Involved in Family Education? Rethinking Collaboration for Families," will take place on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Bremen Public Health Department. Professionals can register now.
How much health is there in family education?
The Bremen Family Network organizes and hosts the "Family Education Network" under the leadership of Department 21 (Family Support and Family Policy) at the Senator for Labor, Social Affairs, Youth and Integration. The next meeting in October will focus on the topic of "Health".
Close cooperation is essential
Health and family education are inextricably linked, making close collaboration between professionals essential. The next "Family Education Network" event aims to build bridges between these two sectors: healthcare professionals will present their services to increase their visibility within the support system.
Better identification of interfaces
“Together we want to improve access routes, discover interfaces and develop concrete ideas for stronger cooperation – so that families in the city of Bremen can be reached and supported even better,” adds Anja Lohse from familiennetz bremen.
Cross-cutting themes of the support system
Thematic clusters include “Early Help & Family Health”, “Mental Health & Addiction” and “Health Promotion in Schools and Neighborhoods”.
The network meeting receives great support in its planning and implementation from Sinah Evers from the staff unit for health equity and prevention at the Senator for Health, Women and Consumer Protection.
