More child benefit for families
From January 2026, child benefit will increase by a uniform four euros to 259 euros per month for each child. The family benefits office will automatically adjust the amounts and pay them out at the new rate from January. The more than 10 million people entitled to child benefit who already receive it or have applied for it do not need to take any action.
