Every two years, low-income families from Bremen can apply to the Daniel Schnakenberg Foundation for a subsidy for a recreational program.

Getting away from home during the holidays, experiencing something wonderful in a different environment, meeting new people and perhaps even making new friends – for many, this is perfectly normal. However, some families don't have enough money to go away on holiday. The Daniel Schnakenberg Foundation therefore supports low-income families from the city of Bremen in making holiday and recreational trips possible.

And this is what it's about:

  • Applying for subsidies: Family holidays.
Families living in Bremen with a low monthly income can still take a holiday with their children. They can apply for a subsidy for a family recreational activity. More information
  • Apply for subsidies: Children's and youth travel.
Or would you rather get away without your parents? The Daniel Schnakenberg Foundation also supports participation in organized holiday camps for children and young people. This way, even with a low family income, a great time with peers is possible. More information
  • Applying for subsidies: Providers of recreational activities.
Non-profit organizations in the state of Bremen can apply for subsidies for the family, children's, and youth recreational activities they offer. Both lump-sum applications and applications for individual funding are possible. More information
